Manifestos & Mandates: Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023

The Chhattisgarh Assembly elections of 2023, held in two phases on November 7 and 17, delivered a surprise result. Contrary to most exit polls predicting a Congress victory, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a decisive win, capturing 54 seats in the 90-member Assembly. The incumbent Indian National Congress (INC) managed only 35 seats, while the Gondvana Gantantra Party (GGP) won the remaining 1 seat.
